Ecco Bella FlowerColor lipsticks "Cafe Au Lait" and "Peach Frost" Posted by Josephine on 2/26/2002. Wow! I love these lipsticks. My "Cafe Au Lait" is from the old formula...the longer shiny black plastic tube with the gold band at the center. It's a beautiful shimmery red-pink-brown lips shade. My "Peach Frost" is from the new, FlowerColor formula...the short plain matte black tube with "Ecco Bella" printed on the side. It's a complex medium peach-pink-brown with some fairly subtle pink shimmer. Now, the new formula is much better. The old had a drying tendency, the new is so moisturizing I can (and do) wear it over my Permatone lipsticks. But along with the improvement came a $3 price hike--from an affordable $9 to an almost-MAC $12. It's worth the money, but it's no longer a cheap thrill and I'm holding off buying any more. That said, the colors are to die for. I've eyed "Rosewood"...shimmery pink brown...and "Peach Rose"...rich peach-brown-rose. There's also "Primrose"...this is their one red...and "Tuscany Rose"...rich rose pink. Wahhhhh! Too expensive. Ecco Bella has no fragrance/taste, lasts long on the lips, color stays true. I've seen these only at health food stores. |
